Crispin BIRD ON A WIRE

Limited Release Cider Aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels,

With Bourbon Barrel Aged Tupelo Honey

The Crispin Cider Company introduces its annual Americana whiskey cask aged hard apple cider in time for the holidays.

The cider is In limited release, on allocation. And like its American whiskey cask aged predecessors; The Jacket & Stagger Lee, it continues the All American rock and roll cider theme.

"We have tried to bottle the spirit and philosophy of Alt.Country music and the incredible bands that make that style of adventurous, creative music" says Bruce Nissen, Crispin Head Cider-Maker. "Bird On A Wire sets cider free. We are an untraditional American cider company. We explore the boundaries of fermentation, yeast strains, barrel aging and blending. These are our songs".

The Greatest Cider Adventures

Blended 4 times using 4 different apple wines from naturally fermented unpasteurized American fresh-pressed apple juice aged in American rye and Bourbon whiskey barrels.

The apple wines were fermented with Irish Stout yeast, Belgian Trappist yeast, Sake yeast and our unique Colfax Classic apple wine.

The blend was then finished with Tupelo Honey aged in Bourbon barrels and unpasteurized fresh-pressed apple juice.

Alt.Country Cider

Dances across the palate like a band playin', people swayin'. Spend some time, wait a minute. Set it free.

ABV: 6.9%

Poured Appearance: Whiskey Cloudy. Honeyed & cloudy opaque.

Color: Rich honeyed orange, slightly brown whiskey tint.

Aroma: Whiskey notes up front & center, ripe apple, honey notes.

Flavor: Very smooth and totally balanced. Toasted oak tannins, soft rye spice, cask-woody vanilla and cinnamon. Finishes with an lingering open-mouthed kiss of farmhouse style apple juice.

Unfiltered & blended from apple-wines straight from the whiskey barrels. Give a solid, firm, bottoms-up tilt and swirl to disperse sediment evenly through the bottle to best enjoy whiskey aromas and unique bouquet. Best enjoyed at cellar temperature, 50/55F, with or without 1 or 2 ice cubes.

Bird On A Wire is most certainly worthy of aging in your cellar.

Cider That Swings

"Bird On A Wire rocks, and has enough pedal-steel to make it swing " says Joe Heron, Crispin Founder and CEO. "It.s all about our evolution of cider within a modern American craft sensibility. Its our music, the sound we hear in our heads".
